FARMERS’ UNION.
OTAGO REMITS Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, June 5. A Farmers' Union remit urging the Government to cancel all regulations and legislation relating to the growing of .wheat as soon as present arrangements expire, and that the union reaffirms adherence to free trade principles was adopted. Another remit, insisting on free and untrammelled export of farm products as soon as the present Government contracts expire, was agreed to. It was decided to ask the Government to repeal clauses 2 of the Rabbit Act. and that the Fencing Act be amended so that a landowner could compel his neighbour to share in fencing the boundary in rabbit-infested country with rabtit netting.
