FOR MARCH, 1919. ' (Recorded at Pukekura. Park Meteorological Station; altitude 160 ft.) Excepting two chilly days and nights on the 13th and 14th. caused by a light south-east wind, the temperatures wftre otherwise normal and seasonable. There were fine displays of autumn clouds and ruddy glowing sunsets. March 1 to April 12 being tbo period of the autumnal equinox, there havo_ been no I gales or stormy winds so far, which ' generally blow during the period, t'ol- \ lowing arc the records of .the month:—- ; Maximum temperature. 78dcg. on I 28th, GSdeg. on 13th and 14th. 1 Minimum temperature, 62dcg. on 4th. 47deg. on 31st. .Maximum wot-hnlb, GOdog. on Sth, 5-ldeg. on 28th. Minimum wet-bulb, st’>deg. on 5 th, oOdcg. on 25th. Terrestrial thermometer (3in. from grass), 56deg. on 4th, 49deg. on 25th. Solar radiator (sun ’.s heat), 152dcg. on Ist. 130 dog. on 25th. Sunshine recorder, 12hr. 20nnn. on 6th. 55min. on 21st and 25th; total, 253hv. 21min. There were no sunless days. ' .
