Rider Haggard remarked in his evidence at the Birth Rate Commission that he knew of no small holdings that had been successful. He urged that emigration within the Empire and distribution of the population would solve miny problems. He ruled out small holdings.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. OPPOSITION TO BOLSHEVISM. LONDON, March 26. Hyndman and the National Socialist Party are arranging meetings in England to oppose Bolshevism. Mr. Samuel Hoare, M.P., assorts that there is a strong suspicion at Westminster that some Germans are acting in concert with the Bolshevists to create chaos everywhere, in order to justify a refusal io sign peace.—Aus.-N.Z.
