AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.
Arrangements are well forward for the show to be held at Waiwakaiho on Wednesday and Thursday. The working bees held at the grounds have been well attended, and the pens are now ready for the reception of the many valuable animals that are to bo exhibited. The ladies, too, have been hard-at it attending to the details so necessary to ensure success with the catering. _ The refreshment booth will again be in the capable hands of Mr. E. Whittle, andi the soft drinks, ices and fruit stall in charge of a ladies’ committee. Thursday (People’s Day) will be specially attractive. On the afternoon of this clay the New Plymouth Citizens’ Baud will bo in attendance, the grand parade of prize-win-ners, and the presentation of cups will take place, also the leaping, high jumping and trotting competitions. The approach from the tram stop at Fitzroy to the grounds is this year tar-sealed, therefore the dust nuisance of past years will be eliminated. Tho weather, which is always an important item to lie reckoned with, seems settled, and with a fine clay a delightful time should lie spent amidst the glorious surroundings of the now showgrounds at Waiwakaiho.
