The Kittawa finished unloading today a*nd sailed early this afternoon for Greymouth direct. ' THE CORINNA. The Corinna was scheduled to leave Wellington at noon to-day and will be ready to commence loading cheese tomorrow morning. ROSAMOND TEMPORARILY DISABLED. A serious breakdown in the engineroom of the Union Company's steamer Rosamond (721 tons) caused her to make a protracted trip from the south to Wellington, where she arrived safely on Sunday morning (says the Dominion). The Rosamond sailed from Timaru at 8 p.m. on Thursday, and would have arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning had not a high-pressure piston—a vital part of her machinery—suddenly broke when she was in Paliser Bay, about 20 miles off Wellington' Head.-,, at 8 o'eloek in the morning. To effect temporary repairs to enable the fchip to.make port was a difficult task, and it took 14 .hours to accomplish it.. A northerly wind was blowing, and the vessel was in some danger of drifting on .shore.
