THE TRAMWAYS.
PARTIAL SERVICE RESUMED. A number of the New Plymouth tramway employees are still suffering from influenza, whilst others are assisting with milking in the country, but the service .was partially resumed' on Monday. It will be remembered that on the Friday following the “peace” celebrations a very much restricted service was run and from then no trams wore run until Monday, with the exception of one outward and inward trip, morning and evening, from Tuesday, November 26, to Saturday, November 29, this being for the convenience chiefly of the freezing works employees. Following are the returns of traffic and revenue for the two weeks referred to:—
The figures for the corresponding veek last year were:—Passengers 26,209, revenue £lB3 11s 7d.
