IN CHI!ISTOTIURCII FARMERS’ CO-OP. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Doe. 2. A serious Jiro occurred early this morning in the premises of the Now Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association, a three-story block. The top floors, used as bout, tailoring and furnishing departments, wore completely destroyed, while the ground floor, containing grain and merchandise, was swamped and the contents rendered practically useless. The saddlery was also damaged by water. The insurances on the whole of the association’s property arc £151,000, and in the gutter area £13,490 in the South British Office, but reinsured in twenty other offices. ’
