Admiral von Reuter, commanding the interned German fleet, protested against Admiral Beatty’s. instruction' forbidding the display of the German flag. Von Reuter claims 'this is ej breach of international custom and' con-1 trary to the idea of chivalry between honourable opponents. : Admiral Beatty replied: “The annisj tree suspends hostilities, but a state o| war still exists between Germany and the Allies. Cable Assn. ■ ;j ATTEMPT ON THE TAY BRIDGE. | , "LONDON, Nov, 27. j The Dundee Advertiser publishes dw tails of the frustration of a submarine attempt to destroy the Tay Bridge. An airman discovered the submarine lying at the bottom of the river, near Dundee; A depth charge was dropped and wreckage rose. Divers found the bodies of thirteen of the crew inside the wreck, 1 and portions of other bodies floated t<j the surface. The wreck was salvaged, —Reuter Service. ■ . ;(
NAVAL CASUALTIES. The total naval casualties to Novem-! her 11, including the Naval Air Service to March 31, and excluding the Naval Division, are as follow; j Dead.—Officers, 2466; men, 4378. ■ Missing.—Officers, 15; men, 32. : 1 Prisoners.—Officers, 222; men, 953.
