NEAV PLYMOUTH CLUB. Thursday players played the first round for the championship on Thursday afternoon, but owing to the rain only two pairs completed the round. The results were; Dr. AVade defeated AV. H. AVood, sup and 3; A. S. Ha sell defeated AV. P. Nicoll, 3 up and 2; F. 1 G. Newenham forfeited to G. Gudgeon. Next Thursday Dr. AA’ade plays G. Gudgeon; A. S. Hasell, a bye. The first Saturday round was to be played this afternoon. jg
