Mr. Bonar Law, replying to a question, said that the Government’s general policy regarding the Paris Conference resolutions was unchanged. They had not asked the United States to accept the resolutions. BISHOP OP LONDON, ASKS CLERGY TO ENLIST. (Received April 25, 8.40 a.m.) LONDON, April 24. The Bishop of London, speaking at Tower Hill, said the clergy did not wish to be excluded from the Man Power Bill. He had sent a letter to all the clergy in the diocese, up to 41 years, asking them to enlist voluntarily. ENGLISH CATHOLICS. DISTRESSED AT IRISH ATTITUDE. (Received April 25, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, April 24. English Catholics are deeply distressed at the unpatriotic attitude of Irishmen. The Catholic Bishop of Southwark led a procession of three thousand, carrying a relic of St. George, and invoked the Divine blessing upon the British arms.
