FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. | March 23.—The following men will proceed from hero to camp on April 3: W. A. Brown, 11. Urqadmore,, W. J. . Huston. A. Henwood, and A. Uoveday. Air. D. Allen, who had recently undergone an operation for appendicitis in the New Plymouth Hospital, is reported to be making a very good recovery. 'Hie first services in St. Antirow’s Church at its new site were held last Sunday. The Rev. E. I;. Harvie- conducted service in the morning and Archdeacon Evans in the evening. Although removed in -sections from tlio old position, the church looks none the worse for its experiences, and-the new site appears to bo an ideal one. In course of time, when the grounds have been beautified, tho little church will add much to the dignity of tho neighbourhood. On Tuesday tho Croquet Club received a visit and a defeat from a team of Waitara ladies. Tho visitors wore hospitably entertained to luncheon and afternoon tea at the courts.
