In the House of Representatives Mr. Hughes, in outlining the Government’s programme, proposed to consider the whole question of industrial legislation. The Government guaranteed producers four shillings per bushel |or next harvest, which the Wheat Board had so far been unable to sell. The Government proposed to raise a forty-million loan, the method not being disclosed. China. STATEMENT BY MR. HTJGHES. (Received 1 Jan. 26, 9.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Jan. 26. In the House of Representatives, Mr. Hughes said the Government would direct attention' without delay to the question of maintaining the reinforcements. The shipbuilding agreement between the Government and the unions had been ratified, and operations would commence shortly,
