BRUTALLY EXPRESSED B Y HOFFMAN. (Received Jan. 26, 11 a.m.l PETROGRAD, Jan. 25. Herr Hoffman brutally expressed! Germany’s terms of peace at Brest Ditov.sk, stating that Germany’s future eastern frontier must he from Riga, through Valk. Dvinsk and Brest. > A Russian delegate asked whab would happen if Russia refused, and Hoffman replied that Reval would be occupied within a week. ... , ~ Herr Hoffman added that the southern boundaries would be arranged between Germany and Ukraine. It appears Germany promised Ukraine liberal boundaries at the expense of Russia, peace being conditional on Ukraine supplying breadstuffs to Germany.
