MILITARY SERVICE BOARD.

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT APPEALS. i PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Jan. 23. The first appeals lodged-by the Education* Department oamo before the Military Service Board to-day, and adjournments sine die were granted. One man appealed for is in the head office, and his services are said to be indispensable. The other two are teachers m Native schools. The assistant director of Education said that the department would only appeal in the case of Native school teachers.
