WELLINGTON RACES. SECOND DAY’S RESULTS. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION, TRENTHAM, Jan. 22. There was fine weather for the second day of the Trenthnm meeting and a large crowd was present. Results;— Mungaroa Handicap.—Rohm- 1, Matilda 2, Missouri 3. Scratched: Pervolo. Won by half a length, a neck between second and third. Time, Imin. 40 l-ssec. Welter—Wishful 1, Sweet Tipperary 2, Mascot 3. All started. Won by a length, a neck between second and third. Time, Imin. 39 4-ssec. Racing Club Handicap.—Menelans -, Adjutant 2, Red Ribbon 3. All started. Won by 14 lengths. Half a head between second and third. Time, 2min. 19 l-ssec. Fitzherbert Handicap.—Demos If War March 2, Hoathercote 3. All started. Won by a length; three lengths between second and third. Time, Imin. 1 l-ssec. FOXTOIv RACES. FOXTON, Jan. 22. The weather was perfect. There was a record attendance and the going was good at the Foxton races. Results:— Hack Hurdles, lj miles.—Lady Amai, 9.11, 1; Want. 10.7, 2; Bine Thread, 9.3, 3, Scratched; Miss Sation and Holyhead. Won easily. Time, 2min. 48sec. Himitangi Hack Handicap, six furlongs.—Vermillion 1, Hastie 2, Cello 3. Also started: Warmaid, Perrier, and Pall Mall. Won by a head. Time, Imin. 16 4-ssec. Foxton Cup, 1} miles.—H. Whitney’s Rose Pipit 8.3 (.1. Bell) 1, Master Mould a (7.121 2. Jean Laddo (8.13) 3. Scratched: Altercation and Quinn’s Post. Won from end to end. Time, 2min. 11 l-ssec.
