For the opening day of the Wellington races the weather was showery, but there was a good attendance and the track was in good order. The totalisator handled ±l-15,169 10s. Additional results: Anniversary Welter" Handicap.—3 Glenroy 1, 7 Probation 2, 9 Sweet Tipperary 3. Also started: 12 Comely, 2 Gold Soult, 5 Wishful, 1 Silver Tongue, 1 Prince Delaware, 6 Mascot, 11 Pariform, 10 Sir Agnes, 8 Bonnie Maid. Won by two and n-half lengths, the third horse a head further back. Time, Imin 43 3-Ssec.
