FITZROY FETE.
STALLS AND COMPETITIONS. At the fete at the Fitzroy School on Thursday afternoon, several stalls which were arranged at the side of the school were capably managed and did brisk business. The stall-holders were; Garment stall, Mesdames E. A. Haggard and T. Jones; produce stall. Mesdames F. Andrews, Bellringer and Cliilderstone; drinks and ice cream, Mesdames Jenkins, Clark and R. Parkin, and Mr. J. D. Roch ; sweets, Misses V. Bellringer and I. Hooper; bran tubs, Masters C. Grayling, G. Grover, A. Huggard, and I. Pepperell. A dainty afternoon tea was served in the gymnasium, the following ladies heino- in charge: Mesdames H. Grayling, WT G. Reid, I. Area. R. Pepperell. E. Old, Tanner and Ardern, Misses Colson (2). Reid and Hodson. Various competitions were run by Mrs. R. Day, Mrs. M'Dougall. Mrs. Hayward. Mrs Jenkin. Mrs. Bellringer, Mrs. Parkin and Miss Bray. At the close of the afternoon a quantity of produce, etc., which had not been sold at the stalls was auctioned by Mr. W. G. Reid. An agreeable programme of music was played during the afternoon by Mrs, Moverley’s orchestra.
The net proceeds will he in the neighbourhood of £3O.
