SOLDIERS’ HOSPITALS.
MORE ACCOMMODATION NEEDED. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON. Dec. 5. Mr. G. W. Russell, who lately made an inspection of Rotorua Sanatorium and convalescent hospital for returned soldiers, said excellent work was being done in these institutions, but it was evident that the present accommodation would prove insufficient for the large bodies of men returning to tin's connin' in future. There were some 80 consumptive returned soldiers at Cambridge Sanatorium, and it was evident that more accommodation would have to bo provided for patients of that, class. The institution bore every appearance of comfort and good management. Another institution for the treatment of soldiers suffering from consumption would have to he arranged for, and instructions would be given to the officers of the department to select a suitable site at once in order that the necessary administrative block might bo built.' The men will bo accommodated in shelters of the type generally used.
