A FINE DOUBLE PROGRAMME. The current programme at this popular theatre is a particularly nne one. Two star films are shown, ‘’The Mummy and the Humming Bird, and “the Moth and the Flame.” featuring Irene? Hnwloy. The former play' will be remembered by all playgoers who s«?v the performance.'given by Miss Beatrice Day and Mr. Herbert Fleming, in New Zealand some years ago. In the, picture the two loading parts, Lord and Lady Lmnlev, will be played by Lilian Tucker and Cliarlet Cherry The Story is cleverly constructed, and the conclusion is well concealed. A sensational incident shows the pursuit of D : Orelli, the novelist, by Guiseppe, the wronged husband. The- action takes place in England and Italy, and it is Stated that the”scenery is remarkably good. ‘‘The Moth and the Flame” is also a. very fine picture, being the film version of Clyde, Fitch’s stirring drama. The latest Gazette and a Victor Moore comedy are also Shown. FATTY ARBUCKLE NEXT WEEKEND. The inimitable Boscoc makes his bowin “The Rough House,” to bo screened at the People’s, commencing next Friday. This is claimed to bo even hotter than the/"Butcher Boy,” and should not be missed by anyone who can enjoy a clean hearty laugh.
