EAST AFRICA.
DEFEAT OF THE GERMANS. LONDON, Nov. 30. A special correspondent at Ndanda states that the British are still in contact with von Lottow’s force, but General van der A T enter has cut off von Lettow’s chance of doubling back to the coast. He is non- faced with a hopeless position and daily diminishing numbers. He has no military object except marauding raids. For all practical purposes the campaign ended with TafeTs surrender. The colony to-day is in British occupation. The correspondent considers another campaign in order to clear the few surviving German elements in the rainy season as indefensible. . The blockhouses will do all that is necessary.
