MODERN FISH MARKET.
OPENED AT NEW PLYMOUTH,
Messrs. J. W. Kurta and Co. have just opened their new 'fish mart in Kmif Street. The premises have been specially constructed to meet the rebuirements of the fish trade, everything being on the most modern lines. Eetail and wholesale business will be carried on. The shop is particularly attractive with its tiled walls and floor, and marble window furnishings ana counters. The wiiyiow, too, is fly-proof and ky-proof counter cases have been provided for the accommodation of cut fish. A spray fountain has also been installed, and there are numerous large mirrors. Cleanliness and efficiency are the keynotes of the premises. At the rear of the shop are three chilling chambers with a total capacity of 20 tons, and here fish may be kept in perfect condition for any reasonable length of time. The firm has made arrangements for supplies from local fishermen as well as regular supplies from Onehunga and northern fisheries, ao that in future fresh fish will always be procurable in town, a long-left want thus having been filled. The opening announcement has created a great deal of interest and a large number of people have inspected the premises.
