PIERROTS’ £looo DAY.
Bandsmen are notified that they can have their Pierrot costumes at the band room to-morrow. Mr. Harry Linn has offered to raffle the Shetland pony on behalf of the Pierrots. Tickets may be obtained from any of the Pierrots or Mr. J. C. Morey, A saddle and bridle has been given for the pony. The Pierrots wish to remind the public of New Plymouth that they are opening a Meat Mart in connection with their £IOOO Day on June 30. The mart will be stocked with everything of the highest quality, including prime ox beef, wether mutton,, prime lamb, poultry and small goods of every description. , The parcels committee has already faoked 1100 parcels, all of the value of s or more, but they are determined to obtain 2000. 'lhey have 600 in sight, and now appeal to those who have not yet given to send forward the remaining 600. Mi-. J. W. H. Martin, of Pukearuhe, has donated a Shetland pony to be raffled for on £IOOO Day, and he has stated his willingness to buy back the animal for £lO if the winner is not satisfied with it.
