INGLEWOOD.

most OCR OWN coiinv.SPONDF.NT, March 6. —Private R. Codd, who has been invalided home suffering from shell-shock, was to arrive in New Zealand by the Arawa yesterday. Mr. Codd, of Inglewood, has gone to Wellington to meet his son. Eight men left here by, the train for Trenthara yesterday morning, and were given the usual enthusiastic sendoff at tile station. A mistake crept into my last notes in regard to the date of the Vanity Fair, which should road March 8, not the 18fch. It will be remembered that in last year’s Parliamentary session a Bill was passed empowering borough leaseholders to convert their leasehold property into freehold. On Saturday last a public auction was held on behalf of the Borough Council, and the lots were very quickly dealt, with, as under:—Moa Dairy Co., section 386, capital value £2430; Geo. Douch, sections 54 and 66, capital value £540, improvements £440; Harry Codd, section 285, capital value £165, improvements £BS; Joseph Gibbs, section 31, capital value £2OO, improvements £240; Joseph Gibbs, section 41, capital value £2lO, improvements £160; Joseph Gibbs, section 42, capital value £265, improvements £2lO. The sale was conducted by Mr.. J- Hobbs.

It has been decided by the Methodist Conference that the Rev. Raymond Richards is to retain the charge of Inglewood Methodist Church.
