APPEAL FOR ANGLICAN CLERGY. PEK PRESS ASSOCIATION• / WELLINGTON, Fob. 14. The Bishop of Wellington appealed to the Military Service Board for the exemption of two clergy called up in tlie ballot. Ho said it was practically impossible to supply tho places of clergy who go. Oversea sources of supply, ho believed, would bo closed. The board decided to adjourn the appeals sine die and exemption from military service was granted meantime, the cases to be reviewed again before the First Division was exhausted. Tho hoard expressed the opinion that the First Division should be exhausted before married men were called up.
