FIREMEN WANTED.
FOR THE MAITAI. The local office of the Union Company have received advice from Wellington that practically a full stokehold crew is wanted for the Maitai, the mail steamer which is to leave Wellington at the end of the week for San Francisco. Any qualified fireman who wishes to sign on is asked to pay a visit to the local office this evening, when the manager will be in attendance after 7 o’clock. Anyone who decides to go will have to leave by the mail train to-morrow morning.
