BRITISH SUBMARINE, DOES EXCELLENT WORK. LONDON, Dec. 7. An Admiralty announcement reveals remarkable success of a British submarine in tho Sea of Marmara. A submarine on December 2 fired into and damaged a train on tho Ismid railway. On December 3 sho torpedoed and sank a Turkish destroyer, the crow being placed on board a sailing ship. On December 4 sho sank a supply steamer, of 300 tons, off Ihinderma, by gunfire, and also destroyed four sailers, which were carrying supplies. VERY HEAVY LOSSES. OE GERMAN SUBMARINES. TIMES isn SYUNKY SUN BEH VICES, (Received Dec. 8, 8 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 7. Tho press stales that the British have captured or sunk .08 submarines and probably destroyed 20 others. Five have been captured and are being used against tho Germans in the Baltic. A STEAMER ON FIRE. HALIFAX, Dec. 6. The British steamer Carlton, bound for England, has arrived here on lire. It is believed to be tho work of an incendiary., THE MINNESOTA- DELAYED. (Received Doo. 7, 10.30 p.m.) NEW YORK. Deo. 7. Tho Minnesota was bound from Seattle for London. Sho is helpless twenty-five miles south of Corona-Jas and is endeavouring to roach San Francisco. It is alleged that one of tho crew declared that tho Minnesota would not reach her destination. BRITISH STEAMER SUNK.

One American was wounded. Tho submarine withdrew when it discovered tho nationality of tho Potrolito.
