Mr. 0. B. Morrison, K.C., of Wellington, is on a visit to New Plymouth in connection with the Supremo Court sessions.

Four young residents of Bell Block, members of the oldest ami best known families of that district, will leave with the Eleventh Reinforcements on Monday morning. They arc Messrs., Gordon Salway, L. Rundlo, C. E. Street and A. H. Street. Tho death occurred at Auckland on Sunday of Mr. Henry Bees George, aged 71 years. Ho has boon a resident of Auckland since 18G2. Another wellknown Aucklander, Mr. Vincent Rice, who for over thirty years was secretary to the Education Board, also died a fow days ago.
