W. Gray, Cambridge, 8 steers, averaged £l6 2s 6d; M. LWatkins, Maungatautau, 8 steers, £l7 gs Sd; a draft of 24 steers from Maungaturoto averaged £l7 ; 73 steers from the north sold at from £l4 15s to £l9, averaging close on £l7 per head. Calves were penned in large numbers, and again declined in prices. Runners, sold at from £6 12s 6d to £7 17s 6d; heavy suckers £3 18s to £4 4s, medium £1 15s to £2 12s, light 15s to £1 12s 6d; small and fresh-dropped, from 3s to 10s. Best wethers sold at from £1 7s to £1 , 9s 6d, a small pen realised £2, others £1 2s to £1 6s 9d; ewes, ISs 9d to £1 3s 6d; hoggets, £1 Is to £1 4s 9d. Lambs sold at from 19s 6d to £1 3s for best, others 17s 6d to 18s 9d. Pigs were penned in large numbers, and sold at slightly improved rates. Heavy haconers £4 5s to £5 Is, medium £3 10s to £4, light £3 to £3 9s; heavy porkers £3 5s to £3 18s, medium £2 13s to £3 ss; weaners, 14s to £1 6s.

Sales. —Warhi, 36s 3d. The Waihi Gold Mining Company’s return for the four weeks ended November 20 was £27,273 worth of bullion from 15,208 tons of ore treated. This is the best return for tho year.
