A canary lias been donated to the Red Cross'Market for sale to-morrow. This is a good opportunity for anyone to secure a beautiful singer. The Xmas tree in charge of Miss Henderson at the- carnival yesterday was a great success, the sum of £22 being taken. Miss Henderson was also in charge of the maypole. Alesars. Alorcy and Son have now moved into their new premises in Devon Street after making a record shift. The firm’s immense stock was shifted in two days and they, will bo ready to receive customltra m their new shop to-morrow morning. It is expected that the amount collected at the Central School Carnival on Thursday will exceed the sum of £260. The Mayoress (Mrs. 0. H. Burgess) wishes to acknowledge a donation of £lO towards the same fund, viz., kV 1 Stationary Hospital.
