ALL WHEAT COMMANDEERED. (Received Nov. 30, 8 a.m.) OTTAWA, Nov, 29. The Government has commandeered all high grade wheat in the elevators from Fort William to the Atlantic under the War Act. The grain commissioner’s revised estimate places the amount at twenty million bushels. (Received Nov. 30, 9.30 a.m.) OTTAWA, Noy. 29. In accordance with the British Government’s request, Canada has commandeered all high grade wheat at the head of the Great Lakes, and that in store or in transit eastward, amounting to sixteen million bnshels, thus ensuring prompt delivery, as the grain is being taken now en route to the sea coast. The price is as yet not fixed.
