SOME BUDGET FIGURES. BY ELECTRIC TEiEORAPH. —COPYRIGHT. SYDNEY, Nov, 2. In tho Assembly, Mr. Holman, delivering the Budget, said the actual revenue for the past year was £18,928,000, and he estimated the revenue for tho current year at £19,098,000 and the expenditure at £18,828,033. He proposed to repay £235,000 on the Piiblie Works Account, leaving a net surplus og £34,967. No now general taxation was proposed, but bookmakers and race tickets would bo taxed to the extent of £75,000. Tho motor tax and super tax on incomes would be reimposed, yielding £358,000. Last year £11,040,000 was added to tho public debt, making tho total £127,735,000.

Air.' Holman, in reply to. questions regarding tho opposition to tho Government Liquor Bill, said that if the early closing party did not value the Bill and thought it useless they could petition Parliament or the Government and it would he abandoned. Out of fourteen State industrial undertakings eight showed a profit and sis a loss.
Referring to persistent rumours about the arming of Germans, Air. Black stated that the police had seized many arms in the city and country, but had not found any signs of systematic distribution of arms.
