CHRISTCHURCH SESSIONS. FER PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 1. The Supremo Court sittings opened to-day. The following sentence® were imposed:—-J. M. Bvrno, for illegally opening a letter, eighteen months' imprisonment; M. Shewan, breaking, entering, and theft, twelve months’ imprisonment; Jessie M'Eweu, theft from the person, eighteen months’ ment; Bertram Nealoy, indecently as/ eaulting a six-year-old child, five years’ imprisonment; A. M. Allen, assaulting a constable, six months’ imprisonment; Patrick Gunn, theft and escaping from custody, eighteen ■ months’ imprisonment on the first charge and 'throe jnoDltoroUrtha-eocoßd. 1
