NEW ZEALAND VETERANS* THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON. Oct. 20. The annual conference of the New Zealand Veterans’ Association was held to-day. The report urged that an endeavour bo -made to have certain anomalies in the law relating to Maori War veterans amended. The election of officers resulted in the following being elected: President, Mr. R. Tingoy ; secretary. Mr. B. Stidolph; committee, the president and Lieutenant Humphries. The conference expressed the opinion that the Maori War medal should, as under the present regulations, be only granted to those who were under fire in the war. :
