BACK PROM SAMOA. OFFICERS AND MEN RETURNED. PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, Sept. 10. The officer in command of the party returned from Samoa is Captain C. H. Matthews, of the Garrison Artillery, Adjutant to the Samoan Relief Force. The other officers are: Surgeon-Captains A. W. Izard (of Wellington) and H. G. S. Monk (Auckland), Lieutenant C. Mackie (Auckland) and Lieutenant F. H. Anderson (of Wellington). Of these Captain Matthews, Captain Izard and Lieutenant Anderson are recalled ior duty. Captain Monk and Lieutenant Mackie are invalided. Returning noncommissioned officers and men are:— Sergt.-Major Copeland, Medical 'Corps, Wellington, recalled for duty; Sergeant R. Croucher, Auckland, invalided ; Sergeant C. B. Bay, recalled for duty; Corporals A. Colston, C. E. R. Kelly, J. Gardiner, Privates F. W. Bezar, F. E. Bailey, J. R. Burns, D. J. Devenll, C. Dickinson, J. W. Elmsly, J. EUick, G. 'H. Fobte, W. Lomax, A. Macßae, S. Marenzie, C. C. Neville, J. G. Scnrageour, E. Wallace, W. F. Morns, C. O’Connel, R. L. Price, C. M. Keeflo and M. J. Dunne. Of the returning soldiers Lieutenant Anderson, Sergt.Major Copeland, and Sergeants Bay and Croucher loft with the, advance party, but the other officers and men were all members of the relief force which went to Samoa in April.
