PERMISSION having now been granted by the Government to forward in bond (i.e., free of duty), through the Customs Department, Tobacco or Cigarettes to soldiers at the. Front, we aro now enabled to forward consignments for relatives or friends at a greatly reduced rate. The minimum amount that the authorities allow to be sent in one parcel is 101 b. of Tobacco or 1000 Cigarettes. A saving of duty amounting to ■ 35s on 101 b. of tobacco and 17s 6d on 1000 cigarettes is thus effected. Friends can combine and have parcels made up, which can be divided at the Front.
