■ i.MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Sept. 7. The annual meeting of the Secondary Schools’ Assistants’ Association of New Zealand commenced to-day. It was decided that teachers in preparatory schools shall be eligible for membership of the association, also that the Minister be again urged to define incidentals and to issue regulations limiting the surplus in any one year in the salaries and incidentals account to not more than £1 per head, so as to prevent boards from evading the purpose of the Act with regard to improvement in salaries. - * An address on “The Scientific Use of the Imagination” was delivered by the president (Mr. A. Gifford).
