The usual fortnightly meeting of the above was held on Monday evening, Mr. F. 0. J. Bellringer in the chair. Several accounts were passed for payment. Mr. R. Bennock was empowered to engage labour for the reserve. It was decided to hold a monster picnic on the beach, also a social in the evening, on October 21, it being Trafalgar Day, the anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar, the proceeds, to he divided between the Wbunctcd Soldiers’ Fund and the Reserve. The Citizens’ Band will be asked to provide a musical programme during the day. It was decided to approach the Railway Department with a view to having excursion fares to New Plymouth on that day, and alsd to have the trains stopped at the reserve and the usual 4.20 train from town delayed. It was also decided to make a start with the concrete band rotunda on Saturday afternoon, the 11th, and to invite all members to bo present. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded Messrs. L. A. Nolan and Co. for grass seed, and Webster Bros, for manure. A hearty vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting. IS ANTISEPTIC.
