FROU ODR OWN COBH-BSPONDEKT. September 3.—The weather has been exceedingly rough during the past week. We have had a good rainfall and the fields are looking much the better for it. The cows are coming in fast now, and the factories will soon be working at high pressure. Mr. L. E. Jackson has received word that his eldest son, Trooper E. L. Jackson, was killed in action at. the Dardanelles. Trooper Jackson was wellknown in this district, and' was highly thought of by all those who know .him. Mr. S. Turner has secured the output of the Oaonui Dairy Company, on open consignment, for his firm, Messrs. JV J. Lonsdaß and Co. Mr. Bnckeridge, for Messrs. Lane and Co., has secured the Fihama output, on open consignment. Farmers are looking forward to another successful season, bat it tb very hard to tell what will happen before the season is over. The spring show is to he hold on the 22nd inst. I am afraid the date is a little late this year, as we are hairing an early spring. .Already the bulbs are in bloom. Mr. Thomn son, , the local postmaatar> is at present on holiday leave. Mr. Howard is relieving Mr. Thompson.
