NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.

By the extremely kind permission of Mrs. and Mr. F. Sampson, of Sentry Hill, a second hunt was held on their property on Saturday last, when. Emother good following turned up, in spite of the very unfavourable weather. Several good runs were participated in, and, mainly owing to the well sparred fences, quite an enjoyable afternoon was spent. Mrs. Sampson very kindly, for the second time in the one week, provided an excellent afternoon tea, which was much appreciated by the huntsmen and visitors. Next Thursday’s hunt will he held at Inglewood, on the property of Messrs. Atkinson and Davis, who have kindly consented to their excellent country being hunted over. Given fine weather this should be one of the meets of the season, as the country is ideal hunting ground, and. being fairly central, a great number of huntsmen have signified their intention of being present. Very keen interest is being taken in the hunt in Inglewood, and there is no donht that a very large crowd will journey out to witness the sport of all sports.
