VESSELS FOR WAITARA. The following Shaw, Savill and Albion Company boats' have been booked to load moat, etc., at Waitara:— Kia Ora, about June 28. Delphic, about July 16. OLDEST VESSEL IN THE WORLD. Friday last, Juno IS, was tho 61st anniversary of the day when the wellknown coastal steamer Stormbird made her first voyage. The Stormbird, which has tho unique distinction of being the oldest steamer in tho world in commission, is a steel screw vessel of 217 tons gross, and was launched in 1854 by Laurie and Co., Glasgow. The Stormbird has passed through many hands in the course of her long and interesting career, her present owners being tho Wanganui Steam Packet Company. She was a frequent visitor to New Plymouth in the ’sixties and since.

The ketch Keroru returned to Auckland on Friday afternoon from one of her periodica! visits to the Island of Niue, in tho Cook Group (says tho New Zealand Herald). The little vessel has made another smart round voyage, which she completed in 31 days, under favourable weather conditions. Captain Anderson reports that there is a great scarcity of copra on the island at the present time, which is probably due to j&S damage caused bjt tha hurricane

in those latitudes some months ago. There had been a plentiful supply of rain, and otherwise the inhabitants appeared to be well. The Koreru usually brings about 120 tons of copra from Niue, but this trip she brought only about Go tons. THE RAKANOA. The local office of the Union Company advise that the Rakanoa, 2246 tons, loft Eclithburg, South Australia, on Saturday for New Plymouth, via Lyttelton and Wellington. THE CORINNA. The Gorinna leaves Lyttelton on Wednesday, Wellington on Thursday, and Nelson oh Friday, for New Plymouth. Add Expected Arrivals Corinna, from South, Saturday.
