MANAWATU WINTER SHOW.
This is the monr.li of the annual festival of the dairv farmers of the Manawatu and West Coast, and Secretary Penny, who is just now deep in’ the final preparations for the “Whiter Show, assures us that the 1915 festival is seine; to he as hie a success as any of its predecessors. '.He has just compiled the list of entries and sent them to the ’vinters of the catalogue. The war lias 4.0 t affected the entries at all. In fact, there is not a foot of space now available for exhibits The machinery hall will also be fully occupied. In the fruit division—which has a now section, grading and packing—there will lie a bigger display than over. Another new division is that for honey, which will he under the direction of the Department of Agriculture, and entries for it have come in from both islands. Vegetables, roots, and seeds will exceed all previous shows, and lirro again an addition provides for farm displays, for which there arc live entries. Poultry entries total over 1000, showing that the interest in this department is hotter than well maintained. .Vet another new and special feature will take ph<o in the open air on the first day (Tuesday, June 2d), when Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, the physical drill exports, will direct a mass exhibition by school children. It is going to be Some Dreat Show.
