ANNUAL REPORT. BY ELECTRIC TFJ.EGRAUH.—COPYRIGHT. SYDNEY. April 23. At the annual meeting of the A.M.P. Society the report'was read. It shows that new business was £6,5153,369, and that the accumulated fund increased by £1.651,032 to £33.269.974. The cash surplus was £1,139.953, out of which it was resolved to allot £1,026.138 for distribution to members, providing reversionarv bonuses amounting to £1,800,090. The chairman referred to the ad verso conditions owing to tho war and tho disastrous effects of tho drought, and the restrictions on tho export of wool, ami motals. Ho considered liic result of the year’s business gave manse for congratulations. Air. Tho society was distributing' for tho first time, in its history. over £1.000.000 in cash bonuses. The volume of Now Zealand business was slightly loss than last year, but, considering the effects of the war, it was -to bo regarded as gratifying. New Zealand was never more .prosperous than to-day. Magnificent prices were being obtained for all its products, and had caused wonderful ox- ■ pansion. There was every reason to hope that progress would continue. ■ A member suggested that, in view -of the excellent results of the year’s work, tho board should consider granting a bonus to employees.
