SKIN, AND HIDES. -Mr, Newton King reports:—At the sale of above produce held on Tnesdav, March U, 1 catalogued 153 hales and 255 .sacks of wool, 22,50 sheepskins, 10 casks and 57 tins tallow, -IDS hides, and 237 calfskins. The attendance of buyers was largo and bidding was particularly spirited on wool ami sheepskins. Many of the lots of wool wore badly affected with seed, and prices for these showed little or no improvement. Inn all clean , parcels advanced Id to I fjd per lb. The top price obtained was for 3 bales of Romney fleece on account, of Mr. Chun Coldwcll, which realised 13id per lb. ; 2 Lilies of fleece from Mr. \V. A. Goatskins, Is 5d each. NEW PLYMOUTH WOOL, HIDE AND SKIN SALE. Messrs. Nolan and Co. report:,— We held our four-weekly sale of the above on Tuesday, -March 9. Wo offered a full representative catalogue to a full attendance of buyers. Hides showed a sharp decline to within on an average of Id to Id per lb. of prices obtained in January last.
