STRATFORD A, AND P. ASSOCIATION.
The executive committee of the Stratford A. and P. Association met on Friday night, when tbere were present; Messrs, t. Jackson (.president, in the chair), E. Kolleher, F. Dobson, R. Dingle. J. Shotter, W. H. H. Young, J. D. Healy, W. M. Bayly, D. J. Malone, and Vf.'P. Kirkwood. The president reported that he and Mr. Kirkwood had interviewed Mr. Jonqs, of the Railway Department, regarding the provision of a stopping place neap Flint Road for show traffic, Mr. Jones estimating that the cost of a crossing giving an o>clet to Broadway North would bo £IOO. It was decided to nut on a man to awing the gates at the pens, and also to put down the flooring in the pig pens. The ground committee reported that the paddocks had been closed up to provide feed for cattle at the show. It was announced that carting work in connection with the show had been given to Messrs. Green and Nelson. A number of gentlemen have placed their motor-cars at the association’s disposal for the purpose of running round the country' canvassing for entries, and this work will he commenced on Wednesday morning next. There is a good inquiry for schedules,' and everything points to the 1914 show being a big success.
