A HARBOUR BRIDGE.

Wanted in Auckland^ PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND. April 20. Mr. Massey was interviewed to-day hy a deputation representing interested j p'ulric- bodies, who asked- Government j assistance in constructing a bridge across the Waitemata Harbour io_ connect tho citv w-iiti the North Shore boroughs of Kortheote, Taka-puna, Birkenhead, arid Dcvonport. It was argued that if a small toll were paid by t.he owners of cattle using tho bridge, that in itself would be sufficient to nay interest on th© cost of the strucMr. Massey promised to consider tho matter, and said if practicable tho Government might add this question to the order of reference of the commission which is to inquire into the matter of utilising tho waterways in Auckland provin.o.
