RIFLE SHOOTING.

NEW PLYMOUTH DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. Beautiful weather favoured the New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club for the final match in the championship series, fired at the Row,a Rewa range on Thursday. The scores, on the whole, were very poor. Rifleman W. Oliver, with 42 at 900 yards and 46 at 1000 yards, total 88, was top scorer. Rifleman W. Winslade shot into second place with 84 —43 and 41. The latter rifleman won the championship by 23 points. Following are the scores:—
