A meeting for tho purpose of forming a football club at Moturoa, in connection with the Breakwater Sports Committee, was held at tho Malva Tea Kiosk on Monday evening, when there was a good attendance, Air. Elliott, J. Skipper, G. Mursoh, W. Jacob, L. Hart and C. W. Williams. Mr. C. W. Williams was appointed delegate to the Taranaki Rugby Union, Mr. Norman Lnvcridge club captain, and Messrs. T. Carroll, R. Spence, and tho club captain a selection committee. The chairman reported that ho had been able to secure tho prison reserve paddock, opposite tho Freezing Works, for a practice ground for the club. It is the intention of the club to open the season in about two weeks’ time, and to hold a euchre party in tho West End gymnasjum. particulars of which will be advertised. Several ladies attended tho meeting and expressed their willingness lo give the club all the assistance thev could.
