AUSTRALIA v. SOUTH CANTERBURY. AN ENORMOUS SCORE. PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. TLMARU. March I. The cricket match between Australia and South Canterbury was continued to-day in line weather and before a good atteudanco. Tho home team were the whole day leather hunting, Australia last evening bad three wickets down for 117 rims. The rot out men, M'Gregor and Cody, took the score to 180. Crawford was the next man, then Ransford and Trumpet'. They piled up tho runs rapidly, breaking records. Crawford hit 14 out of the grounds and made 50 in 13 minutes. 50 in ten minutes, and so on. Trumpetpleased the onlookers immensely by bis crisp and sale batting, lie made 60 in 32 minutes, and 100 msl minutes. Ho got 21 boundaries and one six. Over 200 runs were sooted in the last hour.
