VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND,

PEE P«P.SS ASSOCIATION. WELLINGTON, Sept. 16. Twenty-five members’ of tho British Association, which meeets in Australia next year, were invited to visit New Zealand. They asked that the proposal should ho allowed to stand over till the beginning of next year, but the matter will be pressed upon thorn and if they assent some fifteen American and Canadian members will bo also invited. The provisional programme suggests that their arrival in Auckland should bo about August 30 next year with a visit to Rotorua, Wellington, and Christchurch. Dunedin is not included at present, but the party will probably split up and branch into various parts of the country. The expenses tare to bo borne by tno Now Zealand ’■Government, which stipulates in return that meetings shall be hold ip at least two important centres.
