Arnett’s father cabled to Arnott, a member of tho Australian cricket team in America: “Is tho team strandedr” He received the reply: “No; publicly deny it; The tour is a great success.” PROPOSED TEAM FOjK CEYLON. (Received Sept. 16, 9.25 a.m.) v SYDNEY, Sept. 16. The Cricket Association discussed tho Rev. Mr. W’addy’s proposal to take a team to Ceylon. Strong objections were raised to possible interstate players leaving tho State. It was decided to grant permission excepting to those likdy to be selected for interstate matches.
